Over 200 years ago, an ancient Roman settlement called CARE made the first grape juices in Aragon. The city of Carinena today, sits on the same land as this Roman settlement, upon which is the origin of Garnacha.
Located in Carinena DO, Bodegas Care was setup in 2000 by the Aragonese families Díaz and Lázaro, who came together to produce contemporary Mediterranean wines. In 2003, they released their first wine, Finca Bancales
Their wines feature the original artworks of the artist Enrique Torrijos
The approximately 100 hectares of vineyards are distributed across 2 main estates, Finca Bancales & Finca Cadillos, as well as a number of small plots with a variation of soils

Finca Cadillos has vines ageing from 1980 to 2006, at an altitude of 450 metres. Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot are planted here on low fertile soils of high carbonate content
